Katie is a sports enthusiast passionate about people, storytelling and good iced coffee.

She grew up in the small town of Delano, Minnesota as the only girl in the middle of 6 boys. Her childhood consisted of running around cold hockey rinks and spending weekends traveling in the family 15 passenger van to games and practices.

She was a competitive 3 sport athlete throughout high school, earning honors in Volleyball, Basketball and Softball. After graduation, she attended the University of Hawai’i at Hilo where she walked on to the Women’s Basketball Team.

It was an enjoyable time for a Minnesota girl to live in paradise and attend school. She loved competing, but she became more focused on pursuing a career from the sidelines.

Katie transferred to St. Cloud State University and began to discover her passion for storytelling. She graduated in the Summer of 2018, earning a degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Television Broadcast Journalism.

After graduation, she was hired by FOX Sports North as a Reporter covering Golden Gopher Hockey, Wild, Twins, Timberwolves and Lynx content on both linear and digital platforms.

In 2019, she became the Pre/Postgame Host of the Philadelphia Flyers broadcasts on NBC Sports Philadelphia and covered the Flyers throughout the 2019-20 regular season as well as two rounds of the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

In 2021, she jumped into the E-Gaming world, serving as the Host of EA Sports’ Madden Championships series coverage, which streamed live on YouTube, Twitch and ESPN.

In July of 2021, she married her college sweetheart, officially becoming ‘Katie Storm’ and took her new name back home to her Minnesota roots, where she returned to Bally Sports North as a Host/Reporter.

As a full-time lover of meeting new people, baking and road trips, Katie enjoys multi-tasking, staying busy and taking on new challenges, which she credits to growing up in an always-busy family of 9.
